Working on quite a few things in the background here at JJW KB - very excited to share those as they develop in the near future. In the meantime, here's the September update for a rundown of what's going on with ongoing and future projects.
Current Designs & Projects
- Derivative R1: Keyboards are now wrapping up anodization! There were some delays in color-matching the Clay keyboards with the provided samples; after a total of 7 revisions we were able to get a satisfactory finish. I expect they may start shipping from the manufacturer within the next 2-4 weeks; following their delivery to vendors, the boards will be QC'd and packed for fulfillment.
- Moment R1: Though this project isn't being fulfilled directly by JJW KB, I noted that some vendors are already beginning shipping Moment R1 to buyers. Keep your eyes on news from your local vendors for more information!
Upcoming Designs & Projects
- Gradient R0: (per last post...) This will be an in-stock limited release of a new 65% keyboard design. Features a novel design with a focus on imbalance of elements, negative space, and straight lines. Quite the polar opposite from previous keyboard designs from JJWKB. Dual mounting methods provide two very distinct sound and feel profiles. In previous cases of multi-mount case designs, I've found that I easily prefer one mount over the others - however I genuinely am pleased with both options here. ETA Q4 2023 - Q1 2024.
