October 2024

October 2024

Project updates for October 2024 are here. It's a bit of a mixed bag in updates but very excited nonetheless on the progress we are making with our various projects.

Play Tray 2

Play Tray was anticipated to ship from manufacturer to vendors in late September, and were progressing into the anodizing stage. After anodizing, our manufacturer caught some finishing issues that they wanted to resolve - so they've decided to refinish the trays and push back shipment into October to ensure quality is up to expectation. In other words, we're seeing a month delay from the previous expected timeline, though still within realms for a Q4 2024 fulfillment.

Derivative Restock

The restock of Derivative R1 is in machining; no other updates for now on this particular project. Last stated progress was 100% of cases completed machining and ~70% of weights are completed machining.

Cloudline V2

This is progressing nicely. Manufacturing has been paid for, and all materials have been ordered. We're just waiting to approve the final assembly, so we can give the green light to proceed with machining on all the raw materials. The expected in-stock sale date for Cloudline V2 will likely be in Q1 of 2025, however, there is a possibility for pre-orders opening at an earlier date.

I will be receiving the pre-production samples tomorrow, so expect to see these in the metal soon..

Coord

Our slim novelty card holder is in machining. We're still following some potential leads on an elastic band material that will meet our requirements on durability and usability. I expect an in-stock sale for this design to happen some time in late 2024.

Integral

Some of you guys have spotted this (even before me). This is a collaboration with Swagkeys - it's a 60% PCB-mounted keyboard with clear Derivative-inspired DNA in its side profile. I've assembled a sample of this, and boy does it sound exactly like you'd hope a PCB-mounted board would sound. I'll let Swagkeys handle the majority of the information regarding this one!
